Ivy + Matt | Surprise Proposal | City Hall, Philadelphia, Pa

We recently were asked to be a part of something we'd never done before: photographing a surprise proposal of one of our very good friends! 

Some background info: Ivy owns a fantastic dress shop, and we often do photoshoots together. So it is not uncommon for me to be around her with a camera. Matt wanted the proposal photographed so he came to me with the idea that we would be on one of our regular shoots, and he would come by and surprise her. A lot of planning went in on this both by Matt and myself! We staged a fake photoshoot, unbeknownst to Ivy, and Matt "happened" to come by City Hall because his office was nearby. 

My favorite photos are probably the first couple, where Ivy has no idea what's happening and when it finally dawns on her that she is able to be proposed to! After she said yes, she was additionally surprised by both her parents and Matt's parent's hiding in the shadows. 

Congratulations Ivy and Matt! We are SO HAPPY for you!! Can't wait for the wedding!!
