I fell in love with photography when I was in high school in South Carolina. I was lucky enough to have access to a dark room and work with a local wedding photographer after school and in the summer. I kept at it when I moved to Philadelphia to attend Tyler School of Art. Carina and I met our senior year of college in our final photo class. We teamed up and began shooting weddings together after we graduated and then formed Love Me Do in 2008.
Capturing emotion and creating images that bring you back to a certain moment is what initially drew me to photography. My favorite photos are often of couples laughing together and having fun. I shoot in a documentary style for most of your day, but will direct you as needed during portrait sessions. I collaborate and work off your cues to help you feel more comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. I love developing a relationship with my couples, drawing out their unique personalities, and telling a story. I also love to keep in touch with my clients and photograph them as their families change and grow. In addition to photography, I am one of the lead video shooters for Love Me Do and edit all of our wedding videos.
A little more about me: I'm usually spending time at home or outdoors with my husband, John, and our daughter, Agnes. I love to bake and do art projects with Agnes, read mysteries, and listen to true crime podcasts/audiobooks. We love to travel and go to new places, visit friends and family, and spend time in the Catskills at our cabin that we share with Carina and our friend Kate.
