Smita and Axel are getting married later this year and they asked us to meet them in NYC for their engagement shoot. We went around to the West Village, the Highline, and the Meat Packing District for photos. The couple also stopped by Magnolia Bakery for some cupcakes too! It was really great seeing the two of them interact. We’re excited for their wedding in Philadelphia later this year!

Asal and Michael’s wedding continued the next day at One Atlantic, where both families joined together in celebration of the marriage between the couple. This was our first time at the venue, and we were seriously impressed! Even though it was raining the entire day prohibiting us from setting a foot outside, we found so many interesting places for photos inside the venue. Everyone present was clearly having a blast, and we really enjoyed photographing Asal and Michael! Special thanks to our third shooter, Kate McCann, for helping us out with this amazing wedding!

From Asal, “From the cocktail hour music to the flowers to the food to the view! it was perfect! And we were so happy that not only all my family from the night before was there, but also Michaels extended family, some of which he hadnt seen in years, all there to wish us well! I loved the Jewish culture integration (the chuppah, the chair dance!) Our familes blended and had a great time.”

Asal and Michael had a two-day wedding, and I was present to shoot the first day of festivities! Asal’s family kept with tradition and had a Persian Aghd ceremony at the family’s home. From Asal, “It was special because my entire family was there, and I felt a connection to my past and my heritage.” Her uncle read poetry by a famous Persian poet in Farsi, and the couple fed each other honey. It was very romantic! Asal’s mother did all the flower arrangements, decor, and planning of the evening. We also took advantage of the gorgeous afternoon sunlight for some shots of the couple, and their family and friends. Amanda and our team joined me for the following day where the larger, American wedding took place. Blog post on that coming soon!

Matt and Melody are getting married next month and I was happy to photograph their engagement session last week! They have such great chemistry together, which is apparent in their photos. I can tell that their wedding is going to be a lot of fun and beautiful to photograph! I can’t wait!

We are shooting Catherine and Jeff’s wedding next April and they wanted to do some engagement photos a year from when they are getting married. I was lucky enough to spend the afternoon with them at the art museum and in Fairmount Park, walking around with their dog Bailey in tow. Catherine and Jeff have been together since high school and are just so sweet together.
