Ben & Katherine | 8.28.10 | PHOTOGRAPHY BY Carina and Amanda
Ben and Katherine wedding at Camp Choconut was so awesome! The two of them rented the camp in Friendsville for the entire weekend and invited friends and family to come stay, swim, play games, dance, sing, and celebrate with them all weekend long. Combine that with Katherine’s unique style to create the perfect atmosphere. Just about everything in their wedding was made by friends and family. If it wasn’t homemade it was vintage. Katherine’s amazing dress was made by one of her sisters, with flowers made by Kat combined with some vintage ones. Her sister’s dresses were 1920’s vintage. Ben’s suit was vintage Brooks Brothers. The flowers we picked from Choconut grounds and assembled by friends. The wedding cakes were made by Ben’s sister, Bridget, who also made her own dress. The wedding was officiated, djed, and the food was provided by friends of the couple. It was so much fun to be a part of this unique and special day.

Matt and Joyce: 1.30.10, photographed by Carina and Amanda

Matt and Joyce were married at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. This was our first time photographing in the museum and we were so excited to be able to! A few ways we prepared were to visit the site a few times before hand, research what equipment would work best for the multiple lighting situations, and planned everything accordingly. The night went super smoothly and we got some awesome pictures! Our favorite by far were the ones we took inside the Human Heart Exhibit!
Matt and Joyce were such great sports when it came to the photos. They were both so completely laid back and great to work with! Joyce even braved the snowstorm outside for us to get some skyline pictures!
Thanks Matt and Joyce for having us shoot your fun and unique wedding!
