Justin and Ali | engagement shoot | photography by Carina

Justin and Ali are getting married this summer, but before their day can commence, I took them out for an engagement shoot at some very important places for their relationship. The couple met while working at The School in Rose Valley. We started out on a hike down the road from the school, where The Old Mill is located. As we walked they told me different stories of how they took their classes and kids out to these locations when they both worked at the school. The Old Mill offered an elegant location for some shots, but ultimately our goal was to go to the School and photograph. The School had so many great pieces for kids to play on. Some of the structures were even built by the students! They walked around “fort city” in the woods, while drinking root beer (Justin’s drink of choice), and even got in a few sweet tricks on the skate board before it started to downpour. Before we started they told me how un-photogenic they were, but you can see that’s clearly not the case!

I really enjoyed photographing Justin and Ali and can’t wait for the wedding day! Thanks guys!

JOEL AND STACY | 5.1.2011 | Photography by Carina and Amanda

I hope you enjoyed the little video of Joel and Stacy! Now, here are our photos from the day. Joel and Stacy had such a special wedding because of all the help they got from friends and family! Friends of the couple took care of nearly every aspect of the wedding; from planning, to cake, to food, to the music. Joel and Stacy rented out Chamounix Mansion for friends and family to stay with them the night before the wedding. The next morning everyone hiked down to ceremony site, out in the woods in Fairmount Park. The ceremony site was amazing, secluded, and serene. That followed by a big dance party and lunch in our old studio building.
Thanks Joel and Stacy for having us photograph such a unique and beautiful day!

Here’s a little sneak peak of Joel and Stacy’s wedding from our friends at Hi-Society Productions. They shot this adorable dslr video alongside Carina and I, who photographed the wedding. Hi-Society are good friends, excellent djs, and now working their way to being great videographers. I thought I’d share the video here.
We’ll be posting our photos of Joel and Stacy later today, so stay tuned!

Dana and Nick | 4.23.11 | Photography by Nadine

Dana and Nick were married at the Merion Tribute House in Philly. Their wedding was full of fairy wings, beautiful magnolia flowers and Easter candy! Dana & Nick’s love is undeniable, so sweet and full of laughs. I loved working with them with my trusty second, Monika Broz by my side.

Dana and Nick, thanks so much for having us be a part of your amazing wedding!

Jenn and Barret | 4.30.11 | Photography by Carina and Amanda

Jenn and Barret were married last weekend at Bartram’s Garden. We could not have asked for a better day. The wedding itself was beautiful and with Jenn’s gorgeous lace dress from The Wedding Shoppe. As crafters themselves, were many DIY elements to the wedding. Jenn and Barret knew what they wanted and had their hands in each aspect of the day. I’m happy to present a good friend’s budding business as a florist and stylist: Jenna Avellino [email: cary.jenna@gmail]. She, with the help of Matthew Muscarella of Ryan Jane Co [email: ryanjaneco@gmail.com], brought Jenn and Barret’s vision to life. The dinner, thanks to the talented Ken of Diverse Catering, was presented on farm tables with family-style dining, giving the entire evening an intimate, warm feel. The night ended with an awesome dance party thanks to Hi-Society Entertainment, probably our favorite people ever to work with. An added bonus was the celebrity sighting of M. Night Shyamalan, as Jenn is a key figure in the running of his foundation, which works to expand opportunities for the marginalized, and supports programs which work to alleviate poverty and social injustice in other countries.

Jenn and Barret, thanks so much for having us be a part of your beautiful wedding!

Gaelyn and John Wedding Video | Photography by Carina and Amanda

John & Gaelyn from John Jenkins-Stark on Vimeo.

Last October we photographed Gaelyn and John’s wedding in California. The two of them own a videography company called What We Do Films. One of their associates filmed their wedding and included stills of our photography throughout the video. We love watching it and would definitely recommend What We Do Films to any west coast couple!
