Love Me Do Photography

Jill and Andreas got married at the very cool and modern, One Atlantic at the Pier Shops at Caesars in Atlantic City, NJ. The day started with the ceremony at a nearby church in Margate followed by the reception at One Atlantic. We visited one of my childhood favorites, Lucy the Elephant and took advantage of the beautiful beach light.

Mikey and Sarah are really good friends of mine and are wonderful, fun people. We are shooting their wedding in a couple of weeks, so this isn’t an engagement session as much as it is a pre-wedding warm up session. I love doing these, especially with people who are so sweet and genuine with each other as these two. We went out to Fairmount Park, to a spot quite close to where their ceremony will be held on October 16, the Monastery Stables. The stables so cool and tucked away, there’s tons of fun backdrops to take photos. This shoot got us so excited for the wedding. Look for it next month some time!

Jonny and Kristen are friends of mine who recently got engaged. Since both of them aren’t the most comfortable in front of the camera, I suggested that we do an engagement photo shoot. They were all for it and picked out a few places for photos. The first stop was at The Random Tea Room in Northern Liberties. This is the actual place that Jonny proposed to Kristen by hiding the ring in a tea tin. When Kristen went to put tea in her cup she found the ring and he asked her to marry him!

The second place was Franklin Square in Philadelphia. This park is great because it has mini-gold, a carousel, and square bugers! Our last stop was at The Book Trader in Old City. Even though they both claimed to be awkward in front of the camera, I thought they did a great job! Our intern, Christi, was there to help with every step.

Thanks guys for a great engagement session! We can’t wait to shoot the wedding!

Aaron and Leigh, a quintessential South Philly couple shared their love of bicycles and beer throughout their September wedding at The Audubon Center in Montgomery County.  Topping the cake and creating an entrance at the reception was their bicycle built for two.  Aaron an avid home brewer made 45 gallons of beer in 5 styles for the occasion.  They carried out the beer theme by incorporating wheat and barley into their centerpieces, bouquets and corsages; even some of Aaron’s homegrown hops found their way into his boutonniere.  Family and friends helped with every detail, from the DIY paper goods, wedding favors, musical performances (along with those of the West Philadelphia Orchestra) and even to the homemade cake buffet. Leigh tells us “I really feel our wedding celebrated our community, both of our city and our friends and family.” We think so too Leigh and Aaron!!

Mike and Sheena’s wedding was special because Mike is Carina’s brother! Carina was actually in the wedding party, so she was on double duty that day. Mike and Sheena were easy to work with and gave us so much time to take photos. The wedding took place all around the Northeast, starting at the church Sheena grew up in, where her mom and dad were married. We were able to drive out to Bucks County Community College’s beautiful grounds for tons of fun photos of the bridal party. Then the reception was at the Philadelphia Quartet Club.
