Amanda and Matt: 10.24.09, photographed by Carina and Amanda

Ok I know I went overboard on the number of photos in this post, but I just couldn’t choose which ones to post! Amanda and Matt are friends of ours who finally decided to get married this year. The entire wedding was planned in a matter of months, and a ton of friends and family really pulled together to make it happen so perfectly.

The wedding was held at the couple’s home in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia. They rented a tent, and despite the torrential downpour most of the day, things worked out really well in there. Friend and caterer, Nikki Kleinberg, catered the wedding using mostly foods grown in the urban farm Amanda and Matt maintain adjacent to their backyard. These two are super into self sustaining, eco-friendly means to living in the city.

Amanda made her own flowers and centerpieces (I believe?). Friends played the music for the wedding ceremony, and they dj-ed their own reception. The rain let up right after the ceremony for us to take some amazing photos of the two of them in the garden. We also set up a photobooth inside the house to get some fun shots of guests.

With 250 guests attending their wedding, it was really apparent how much their family and friends were excited to celebrate this day with them. And we were glad to be there as well!

Thanks Amanda and Matt for having us photograph your wedding!

This is a post of a few images from a wedding I shot with Christina Campbell for the wedding of Kris and Eric. Although the weather did not want to clear up, it was a beautiful wedding at Congress Hall in Cape May, NJ. I LOVE this hotel. It has such a cool design with black and white checkerboard floors and mint green walls. And another reason I had to do a blog post about this wedding…..Mac (Rob McElhenney) from Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia was in the wedding party! Thats him next to groom! It was a real treat and pleasure to meet him! Eric was also a very cooperative groom and a pleasure to photograph. Along with his 13 groomsmen!

Thanks Kris and Eric for having me be part of your wedding!

Palak and Nitiraj part 2, photographed by Carina

And here are the portraits that we took on saturday, one week after their wedding party. We spent 2 hours driving to different locations around the city, thus getting alot of diversity in backgrounds scenery. Palak and Nitiraj were super fun and pretty much up for anything when it came to photos. It was so great!

Palak and Nitiraj: 10.31.09 part 1, photographed by Carina

Palak and Nitiraj are going to India friday morning to have a marriage celebration. They, however, both live in Philadelphia and wanted to get their marriage license here. So they decided, to have a small lunch party where they would invite their friends in town, sign their certificate, and make an event out of it. Palak contacted me after seeing photos that I took on OffBeat Bride [link]. Together we decided to have me photograph some candids of the party and her getting ready, and also have a separate shoot of the couple so that we could go around the city to different locations for portraits. These are the first half of the photos, the party. On the next post I will blog the photos of our second session together, the portraits.

The lunch took place in the lounge of their apartment building on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. I loved all the colors in the room, as it was raining all day outside. It made the lunch feel very bright and airy. Palak look stunning in her vintage style dress and red shoes. Nitiraj donned a matching bow-tie which was too cute!

Thanks Palak and Nitiraj for having me photograph your wedding! Up next… the portraits!

Alison and Gavin 10.17.09, photographed by Carina and Amanda

Alison and Gavin were married in Philadelphia at the upscale restaurant, Fork. There was torrential downpour the entire day so unfortunately we weren’t able to get any outdoors shots, but luckily, there was an awesome barn at the Bed and Breakfast they were staying in, that served as a great location for some shots! We do however, have plans for a re-shoot on a nicer day so that we can get some nice outdoor photos of this cute couple.

Alison and Gavin were such great sports despite the rain, Alison even donned a pair of awesome rain boots for the occasion! Their ceremony, although not in the originally planned spot outside, was so loving and beautiful. Their friends and family were unbelievably supportive and excited to see them wed.

We’re excited to have another go at photographing Alison and Gavin in the future.

Thanks for having us shoot your wedding!
